INTRODUCING GIRLPi

LEARNING NEVER STOPS
There are so many stereotypes that turn girls away from exploring their interests in math and science. Subconsciously, when girls or boys are asked to think of a doctor, engineer, or scientist, a man comes to mind. GirlPi aims to defy those cultural norms by showing people that being a girl interested in math and science is an amazing thing! Through this website girls can explore different topics surrounding science, math, coding and more through fun activities. We post videos and instructions regularly to make sure that there is always more to learn. Some of the activities are just small and fun experiments that are easy to do at home. Others involve more insight on certain topics. Contact us if there are any questions you have or any new scientific topics you are interested in and want us to cover!

ABOUT GIRLPi.COM
girlpi was created by two Millburn High school girls, Ritika Mishra and Eliana Warner, to encourage young girls to get into STEM. We wanted to make girls to change the ways young girls view tech. In our advanced math and science classes we noticed continuous a lack of girls. This is a problem because girls have the potential to make great contributions to the world of STEM. Through girlpi, we hope to spark the curiosity to create in young girls.
